Fourteen Azerbaijani Citizens Detained in Turkey for Attempt to Go to Syria
In the course of the antiterrorist operation in the Turkish city of Adana, a few families from Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Iraq, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Iran were detained, according to the electronic version of the Turkish newspaper Cumhuriyet.
According to the same source, the police arrested two men who were preparing to transport these people to Syria. Fourteen of the detainees are citizens of Azerbaijan, 7 – of Indonesia, 5- of Iraq, 5 – of Kyrgyzstan, 2- of Tajikistan, and one – of Iran and Afghanistan each.
According to the site Cumhuriyyet.com.tr, police arrested a senior representative of ISIS – the so-called Emir of Istanbul, an Azerbaijani citizen Abdulla Abdullayev, who is responsible for sending volunteers to Syria. -03D-
