Grandson of Vice-Premier Sentenced to Six Years in Prison
Baku / 18.12.17 / Turan: The grandson of the Vice-Premier, chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons Ali Hasanov, Naeel Allahverdiyev, has been sentenced to 6 years of imprisonment. He was found guilty of committing a traffic accident that resulted in the death of people.
On August 3 this year the Mercedes-Gelandewagen run by Allahverdiyev knocked pedestrians, Vaghif Asadov and two other people - citizens of Turkey. After that, Mercedes-Gelandewagen "hit the car" VAZ 21015 and flew across the barrier to the auxiliary lane and caught fire there.
As a result of the accident the pedestrian Asadov and a passenger of Mercedes-Gelandewagen, 31-year-old M. Aliyev were killed.
Allahverdiyev was involved under Article 263.3 (violation of traffic rules and the operation of a vehicle, which caused the death of two or more persons by accident) of the Criminal Code.
This article is punishable by imprisonment from 5 to 10 years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of 5 years. -03B06--
