In Azerbaijan, these days are considered non-working. This year, the whole week (June 26 - July 2) is not working in Azerbaijan due to the celebration of the Day of the Armed Forces on June 26 and the reshuffle of working and non-working days in the calendar by the government.
Gurban Bayram traditionally coincides with the end of the annual Hajj pilgrimage to the holy places in Mecca.
On the day of the holiday, believers sacrifice sheep in memory of the Prophet Ibrahim, who was ready to sacrifice his son in the name of Allah. Touched by this, the Almighty did not allow it. As a result, a sheep was sacrificed.

On July 17, a safe with 130 thousand dollars and 700 grams of gold was stolen in one of the private houses in the village of Sarai in the Absheron district.
