Hematology Centre issued fake certificates to obtain disability and evade military service
Baku/18.12.23/Turan: Illegal actions of officials of the National Hematology and Blood Transfusion Centre have been exposed. This is stated in the information of the General Prosecutor's Office on 18 December.
The Main Department for Combating Corruption under the General Prosecutor's Office opened a criminal case on the fact of illegal actions of the Centre's employees.
A preliminary investigation found that officials of this institution in February-May 2023 diagnosed many healthy citizens with false blood malignancies without haematological examination.
There are serious suspicions that forged medical documents giving the right to establish disability and exemption from military service were submitted to the Ministry of Labour and Social Security of the Population and the State Mobilisation Service.
The Main Department for Combating Corruption initiated a criminal case under Articles 308.1 (abuse of official powers) and 313 (falsification of official powers) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
The investigation is ongoing to identify the circle of perpetrators and accomplices of these unlawful actions.-0-
