Hot weather will continue in Azerbaijan
Baku/18.07.19/Turan: On Friday, in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula there will be no precipitation, a moderate north-west wind will blow, the air temperature will be 23-25 at night, 33-35 degrees of heat during the day, according to the National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ministry of Environment.
On the beaches of the northern Absheron coast, sea temperature will be 22-23 degrees Celsius.
On the southern coast, the water will warm up to 23-24 degrees.
No rain is expected in the regions of Azerbaijan, but in the evening in some places there may be intermittent rain.
In low-lying areas, the air temperature will rise to 35-40 degrees Celsius.
In the mountains 13-18 at night, and 23-28 degrees in the daytime is expected.
Weather without precipitation and high air temperatures will continue on weekends. -06D--

A fire has erupted at the Experimental and Testing Production of the Scientific Research Institute of SOCAR (the state oil company) in the Surakhani district of Baku, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported. "Thanks to the urgent and necessary measures taken by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the spread of the fire to neighboring areas, including nearby residential buildings, has been prevented," the statement reads. Efforts to extinguish the fire are still ongoing.

In September, the average monthly air temperature in Azerbaijan is expected to be close to the climatic norm. Precipitation levels will also be near the norm, but in some areas, they will exceed it, according to the September forecast from the National Hydrometeorological Service.
