Ilham Aliyev Congratulates Nation on Occasion of Sacrificial Offerings Holiday
Baku / 20.08.18 / Turan: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev congratulated the people on the occasion of Gurban Bayram (Sacrificial Offerings Holiday).
"I heartily congratulate you on the sacred Gurban Bayram, which is a symbol of spiritual unity, solidarity and brotherhood of the Muslims of the world," Aliyev said in his address to the people.
This blessed holiday personifies the spiritual and moral unity of all Muslims of the world, the love of pious people for the Most High, and readiness for any dedication in the name of justice, the message says.
"On holidays, Muslims fulfill their sacred duty in the way of Allah and religion, make sacrifices, render assistance to the needy and poor, and honor the bright memory of our martyrs. With a sense of satisfaction, I want to note that every such holiday is transformed in our society into a celebration of kindness, unity and equality, devotion to the Motherland and national statehood," the President stressed.
Gurban Bayram this year in Azerbaijan is celebrated on August 22-23. These days are declared non-working. -03D06-
