In Azerbaijan, the courts will be electronic
Azerbaijan is to create an information system "e- court" to ensure transparency during trials, to ensure effective protection of the rights and freedoms of man and citizen and accelerate the application of modern information technologies.
According to the presidential decree, the information system "e- court" will be applied to the activities of courts and is designed to provide:
1. receipt of applications, complaints and other documents in electronic form;
2 . electronic circulation of documents and implementation of judicial proceedings of criminal, civil, administrative and economic affairs in electronic form;
3 . distribution of incoming court cases to judges within the automated form;
4 . compilation of electronic scheduling of cases;
5 . mailing information to participants in the judicial process in electronic form ( e-mail, SMS messaging , etc.);
6. registration of trials with audio, video and other recording equipment and the creation of opportunities to watch them in online mode;
7. monitoring of compliance with procedural deadlines for cases and information on their expiration;
8. monitoring of the execution of court decisions and the implementation process ;
9. creation in the "personal account", making it possible to obtain information on the trial, the decisions taken and their performance, complaints or protests against them;
10 . integration portal "Electronic Court " and the information system of the General Prosecutor's Office;
11. maintaining judicial statistics in electronic form;
12. storing information in a systematic manner .
According to the order, the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan is recommended together with the Ministry of Justice and the State Agency for the Provision of Services to Citizens and Social Innovation being entrusted jointly to ensure the organization and functioning of the information system "e- court" and to determine the rules for the use of the information system .
The Cabinet of Ministers is in charge for three months to prepare and submit proposals for changes in legislation to ensure the activities of an information system "e- court" and to resolve other issues arising from the order . -0 -
