In July, border guards seized contraband goods worth 3 million manats
Baku/01.08.23/Turan: In July, the State Border Service (SBS) of Azerbaijan identified and seized 173 kg 528 grams of narcotic drugs and 9088 narcotic pills from illicit trafficking.
This is stated in the SBS message for August 1.
Note that 46 border violators were detained in the reviewed period. Of these, 27 were citizens of Azerbaijan, the rest were citizens of Pakistan, Iran, Sri Lanka, Algeria, Nepal, Congo, India.
Also, 32 people were detained due toillegal migration, and 979 for violating the border regime.
Besides, 323 people have been identified who have been put on the wanted list by law enforcement agencies.
In addition, 528 people who were banned from leaving the country failed to leave the country.
As part of the struggle against smuggling, goods illegally imported into Azerbaijan in the amount of 2 million 874.000 manats were detained. -06B-
