In the past year, law enforcement agencies of Azerbaijan lost 79 people
As of December 20 the loss of the security and defense sector of Azerbaijan totaled 79 people. Another 96 were wounded or injured. This is stated in the message of the Doctrine Military Research Journalism Center.
10 soldiers were killed by enemy bullets and 69 died in non-combat conditions.
On March 2 the cadet of the J. Nakhchivansky Lyceum Raghil Amikishiev died in unclear circumstances.
9 people died in accidents (drowned, fell from a height, burned, or got an electric shock).
14 people were victims of car accidents , 3 died in a helicopter crash , 3 died under unclear circumstances, 2 were killed by negligence , 3 were killed by civilians, 6 died as a result of bullying, 13 died from disease, and 16 committed suicide.
Among the injured people 10 were affected by fire from the Armenian side and 3 stepped on mines.

Lawyer Agil Layij has accused the chairman of the Baku Court of Appeals, Mubariz Akperov, of mismanagement and called on President Ilham Aliyev to intervene. Layij voiced his concerns in a Facebook post, stating that Akperov's leadership has reduced legal defense to a "formal level."

The Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan has approved amendments to the regulation on the allocation of funds collected from traffic fines, initially established in 1999. The decision, formalized under the decree No. 14 on January 23, 2025, aims to align existing legislation with recent presidential directives to enhance traffic management in Baku's administrative territory.
