Baku/22.04.22/Turan: In the course of operative actions of the Main Department on Combating Drugs under the Interior Ministry 40 people were detained during the last 15 days. At that, over 60 kg of drugs were withdrawn from illegal turnover, says the press service of Interior Ministry.
These activities were conducted in Baku, Lankaran, and Astara, Absheron, Guba, Salyan and Jalilabad regions. By court decisions, the accused were arrested.
According to another report from the Interior Ministry, three more people involved in drug trafficking were detained in the Masally region and 35 kg of drugs seized from them. -05D06-

On January 29, municipal elections were held in Azerbaijan, with over 16,000 candidates participating across 118 constituencies. The Central Election Commission (CEC) has already announced the names of the leading candidates on its website.
