Journalist detained for filming A. Mirzazade’s meeting with voters
Baku/06.02.20/Turan: Journalist Elchin Hasanzade was detained today in Mingachevir during a video shooting of a meeting in the House of Culture of a candidate for deputies in the 47th Mingachevir district from the ruling New Azerbaijan party Aydin Mirzazade.
“Employees of budgetary and other state institutions were gathered to the meeting by order of magnitude. When we began to shoot, they began to interfere with us, and then they called the police. Now we are in the department. There are three of us here - me, the candidate for deputies Ibrahim Turksoy, and one more person. They take explanatory materials from us,” Hasanzadeh said.
It was not possible to get comments from the district election commission and the city police department. –06D-
