In particular, he noted the facts of torture of the PFPA activist Alizamin Salayev in jail N17 by the head of the jail Shakir Ganiev, threats against the activist Bakhtiyar Hajiyev by the head of the Baku police Akper Ismayilov, pressure on the arrested PFPA activist Niyameddin Ahmedov.
This human rights organization was created to protect the rights of public activists arrested during a spontaneous march of many thousands in defense of Karabakh in Baku on July 14-15.
The leader of the organization is Rufat Safarov, himself a political prisoner in the past. As an investigator in the prosecutor's office, he spoke out against violations of the rights of citizens, for which he was fired and then arrested on trumped-up charges. –0--
