Moscow / 10/12/18 / Turan: On October 11, a man who was wanted by Azerbaijan was detained in Moscow, Russian media reported.
The name of the person is not disclosed. It is reported that he is 34 years old and he has been wanted since July of this year on charges of terrorism, violent seizure of power, appeals against the state and an encroachment on the life of a statesman.
According to law enforcement, the detainee was wanted in connection with the events in Ganja, where riots took place.
The relevant authorities of Russia and Azerbaijan are resolving the issue of the detainee"s extradition. -02D-

On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Suleymanlı, stated that the plane had 67 people onboard, including crew members, 38 of whom died. According to him, 26 of the deceased were Azerbaijani citizens.
