Baku/06.08.21/Turan: An officer of the Mine Clearance Agency (MCA), Farid Aliyev (b.1990), was blown up by an anti-personnel mine in the early morning of August 6 in the Agdam region. According to the MCA, the incident occurred in the course of work on the Bash Garvend-Uzundara road. The victim was taken to the Barda hospital.
Owing to the special protective equipment and a helmet, the sapper received no serious injuries, the message says. -02D-

As part of the struggle against illegal migration in Baku city, operative actions were carried out at different addresses. The Interior Ministry reports that employees of the Department for Combating Illegal Migration identified and detained 34 foreigners without documents giving the right to reside and stay on the territory of Azerbaijan.
