The newspaper Azerbaijan writes about the tragic events of January 20, 1990, when the Soviet army perpetrated reprisals against the Azerbaijani people for their desire to be free. After 31 years, the Azerbaijani people have not forgotten their martyrs and always remember them.
The author makes an excursion into history, reminds of the Second Karabakh War, which put an end to the Armenian occupation of Azerbaijani territories.
The website Yenisabah.az quotes the statements of the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry S. Lavrov regarding the Lachin corridor, which were also voiced at a recent press conference.
Lavrov said if a corridor through the railway is created between Nakhchivan and Azerbaijan, then there should be no problems with the trip of Armenians to Nagorno-Karabakh through the Lachin corridor. According to him, the Azerbaijani side does not oppose this.
However, political analysts recall the statement made by President Aliyev on January 6, in which he expressed dissatisfaction with the arrival of the Armenian Foreign Minister to the territory of Azerbaijan without permission, as well as with the activities of the Russian peacekeepers. Political analysts believe that the situation will not change without an official protest against the open regime in the Lachin corridor. Therefore, the Armenians who come to Karabakh will make provocative statements and bring weapons.
The website Moderator.az writes that the Armenians wish to travel to Armenia through Kelbajar, since it is longer through the Lachin corridor. This is what the residents of the village of Heyvali, in which the Armenians live, wish. They complained about this to the Russian peacekeepers and said they would continue protests if their request was not granted.
The Russian general said that the opening of the road was not within his mandate, but he would bring the matter to higher authorities.

Baku, often called the "Caucasian Dubai," is increasingly known for systematic violations of residents' housing rights. During urban renovations and the construction of elegant new buildings, thousands of families in Azerbaijan’s capital have been unlawfully deprived of their homes. Many, recognizing the futility of resistance, settle for inadequate monetary compensation for their irreplaceable property. A minority, placing faith in the Housing Code, demand fair compensation from construction companies but often lose everything—both their homes and any form of recompense.
