Ministry of Ecology about Snowfall
Baku / 02.19.19 / Turan: The snowfall that started in Azerbaijan last night continues. According to weather forecasters of the Ministry of Ecology, especially heavy snow fell in mountainous areas.
In Baku, the rainfall was 5 mm, which was 24% of the monthly norm. In the lowland zone, the precipitation was 6 mm. In the mountains of the Greater Caucasus it was 11 mm.
In Altyagach, the snow depth was 14 mm, in Guba - 11 mm, in the Shahdag region - 10 mm.
Next day, a strong north-west wind with a speed of 22-30 meters per second will remain. At sea, the wave height will be 4 meters.
The air temperature decreased 6-10 degrees at night. In Baku the air temperature was +2 on the morning of February 19. In the mountains it will be up to - 5 degrees, and in the high mountains it will be up to -12 degrees. -02D-
