Baku / 08.28.19 / Turan: The Ministry of Emergency Situations announced the complete elimination of fires in the highlands of Lankaran, Guba, Yardimli and several other regions of Azerbaijan.
At the same time, fires are localized in the Oguz, Gabala, Agsu and Ismayilli regions. Measures are being taken to fully extinguish the fires, the Ministry of Emergencies said on August 26.
More than 900 personnel, up to 70 units of special equipment, 3 helicopters and 1 BE 200 CS amphibious aircraft are involved in fire suppression operations.
The manpower and equipment of various structures of the Ministry of Emergencies were involved, including the State Fire Service, the Air Squad, Civil Defense Forces, as well as regional divisions of the Ministry of Emergencies. -05D06-

On January 7, President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree increasing the salaries of employees in several organizations funded by the state budget. According to the decree, the monthly salaries of managerial and other employees in around 20 institutions (including the Presidium, Apparatus, and Ganja Branch of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, and the Heydar Aliyev Center) will increase by an average of 15% starting January 1, 2025.
