Ministry of Emergency Situations Calls on Population to Take Precautions Due to Worsening Weather Conditions
Baku/11.03.21/Turan: The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan appealed to the population in connection with the expected sharp change in weather conditions.
According to the ministry, unstable weather, precipitation in the form of rain and snow, and a decrease in air temperature are expected from today in the northern and western regions of the country until the morning of March 13.
Strong winds, blizzards and snow are expected in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula, with ice in the mountainous and foothill regions.
In this regard, the Ministry of Emergency Situations urges the population, for safety reasons, not to go outside in strong windy weather without special need.
"If a strong wind and snowstorm caught you on the street, stay away from light structures and temporary structures, billboards, do not stand under electric poles and wires, tall trees," the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
It is also suggested, in order to avoid slipping the shoes, to attach metal "horseshoes" to the heels, or an adhesive plaster, an insulating tape, rub with a "sandpaper",
It is recommended to walk slowly, completely stepping on with your shoes. In this case, the legs should be slightly relaxed, and the arms should be empty.
When sliding, it is suggested to squat in order to weaken the force of impact when falling. — 16D =
