Ministry of Emergency Situations urges population to observe safety measures on beaches
In connection with the onset of the beach season, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan has appealed to the population to observe safety measures during recreation on the sea coast.
In particular, it recalls the prohibition to swim in the sea in places that are not beach zones.
It is not allowed to swim beyond the marked boundaries of the bathing zone, go into the sea in windy weather, spend the night on the beach, visit beaches in an inebriated state, commit rude acts in the water, fish on the beach.
Besides, it is not allowed to use boats and small vessels on the beaches, except for rescue equipment.
The appeal also recommends not to leave children unattended on the beach, not to neglect warning signs and placards, requirements of lifeguards.
