MOE does not confirm accident danger in the PPFA building
The cause of the explosion in the building , which houses the headquarters of the Popular Front Party , was a violation of the rules of operation of gas equipment, Emergencies Ministry said in a statement on March 4.
Initial investigation showed that the basement of the building on the area of ??177.3 square meters was rented by the founder of a cooperative Yusib Yusibov, who privatized it in 2008.
Dividing the space into several parts, he leased them for a storage of tiles, a barber shop and an office for sale.
According to the MOE , the explosion occurred in the office for buying and selling area of only 3 square meters.
The explosion hit the partition wall between the premises .
Fragments of a destroyed gas cylinder were found in the place. A gas stove was also found.
Cause of the explosion could be improper use of this equipment.
Expertise and the investigation continue, said the ministry.
The press release says nothing about the poor condition of the building or the need for its demolition.
Nevertheless, the authorities of the Narimanov District, referring to the act of MOE, started today PPFA eviction from their headquarters on the pretext of an emergency condition of the building. -16D06-
