More than 20 kg of drugs seized on border with Iran
Baku/06.09.22/Turan: On September 3, the border guards recorded a violation of the state border of Azerbaijan by two persons from Iran. This happened in Buravar village of Yardimli region, the press service of the Border Guard Service reported on September 6.
During search measures, two bags with 20.4 kilograms of marijuana and 7,110 tablets of psychotropic substance "metadon-40" hidden near the border were found and seized.
During the operation the officers of the Interior Ministry detained the border violators - residents of the village Zevin of Yardimli region Elmir Mamishev (born in 1992) and Zaur Behbudov (born in 1980).

The aircraft's avionics resumed normal functioning only after leaving Astrakhan’s airspace.
