Baku/15.01.21/Turan: Twenty-five kilo of heroin have been found and seized in the apartment of a previously convicted resident of Baku, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
The search was carried out after the employees of the Main Directorate for Combating Drugs detained citizen E. Rustamov in the Khatai district.
During a body search, 100 grams of heroin was found on him; 25 kilo and 286 gram of heroin and electronic scales were found during the search at Rustamov’s apartment. -16D06-

On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Suleymanlı, stated that the plane had 67 people onboard, including crew members, 38 of whom died. According to him, 26 of the deceased were Azerbaijani citizens.
