More than 36 kg of marijuana and opium seized at Iranian border
On July 10 during search and operational activities border guards of "Lankaran" border guard detachment found a cache of narcotic substances with total weight of 36 kg. 790 grams (34 kg 690 grams of marijuana and 2 kg 100 grams of opium), as well as 1200 tablets of methadone M-40.
Thus, another attempt to smuggle drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan was stopped.
Measures are being taken to find the smugglers, the State Border Service reports.
