Mullah undergoes pressure for criticizing Wahhabis in Saatli
in the village Mustafabeyli, Saatli a local mullah, Tahir Hajiyev was attacked by a group of people after criticizing Wahhabism. The incident occurred during a ceremony of commemoration.
Hearing criticism, proponents of Wahhabism interrupted the mullah and began to insult him, and then beat him.
After that, the parties to the conflict were detained and taken to the police and later released. This angered the villagers and several hundred people gathered and demanded to punish the Wahhabis.
However, the religious radicals who beat the mullah managed to escape. Then the villagers tried to vent their frustration on their families, leading to tension in the village.
According to an informed source, locals have long complained to the authorities of the Wahhabis, who are 25 families in the village. However, all calls to stop the actions and propaganda of religious radicals produced no results. -05B-
