Baku/13.05.21/Turan: Muslims celebrate the end of the month of Ramadan, a period of obligatory fasting, one of the five pillars of Islam, on 13 May.
During Ramadan, believers refrain from eating, drinking and smoking during the day.
During the last ten days of the month comes the night of al-Qadr (night of predestination). The first day after the end of Ramadân is the Feast of Eid. On this day it is customary to make obligatory alms to the poor.
Today festive prayers are being held in all mosques in Azerbaijan.
For the first time in 28 years, festive prayers will be held in the mosques of Aghdam and Shusha. -0-
