Natig Kerimov Refutes Mubariz Gurbanli
The head of the Council of Elders of Nardaran Natig Kerimov denied reports that during the Ashura mourning in the village an Iranian flag was raised.
"This is nothing but a provocation," he told Turan.
"We went around the village, but this fact was not found.
On our state flag an Islamic attribute is displayed, and there is no need to raise the flag of another country," he said.
The elder also denied that special people came from Iran to Nardaran to participate in Ashura and the ceremony Shahsey-Vakhsey.
"Islam forbids self-torture. If this happens, then the elders would prevent it themselves," he said.
According to Natig Kerimov, the Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Communities Mubariz Gurbanli should not have given such a comment, not understanding the situation.
Recall that such statements were made by Gurbanly whose opinion was published in a number of media. -05B04-
