National Council condemna the persecution of teenager, son of O.Gyulalyev
The National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF) believe that the case against Ali Gyulalyev is politically motivated, and calls on the authorities to abandon this "disgusting repressive step," reads the statement of the NCDF.
Ali is the son of Ogtay Gyulalyev, a coordinator of public alliance "Azerbaijan without political prisoners" and headquarters of civil society "Kura", a spokesman for NCDF.
On August 29 Khatai court will begin a trial in the case of Ali Gyulalyev on charges of hooliganism. The teenager is charged with a fight at school last September.
On September 24, 2013 a group of people attacked the teenager, and he had received a stab wound. However, this fact is not under investigation, and no one has been punished for it.
Representatives of the democratic community are convinced that the lawsuit is for puting pressure on Gyulalyev to ake him abandon his social, political and human rights activity. -03D06-
