New anti-record of daily increase in COVID-19 in Azerbaijan
Baku / 03.11.20 / Turan: Over the past day, 1242 new cases of coronavirus infection have been recorded in Azerbaijan.
At the same time, 551 patients recovered and 15 died, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers said on Tuesday.
The total number of infected people in Azerbaijan reached 58,282, 45,030 were cured, and 768 died.
12,484 active patients in the country continue their treatment.
In total, 1,379,779 tests were conducted in the country, including 11,159 in the last 24 hours.
Today's indicator of the number of infected and deaths has become a new anti-record for the daily increase in infection since the beginning of the pandemic. The number of deaths was the highest in a day. –06D-

Today, on January 27, the winter session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) begins. Last week, on January 21, a group of international human rights organizations called on PACE not to restore the mandate of Azerbaijan's delegation or to do so under "clear" conditions. In their letter to PACE, they wrote: "The increasing repression of civil society, independent media, and political dissidents in Azerbaijan violates the values of the Council of Europe. Azerbaijan persistently refuses to cooperate with international mechanisms and fails to address systematic human rights violations."

The certificates of plastic surgeons who have not submitted their documents to the Ministry of Health by January 31 will be annulled, the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan announced on January 27. According to the same source, a Special Inspection Commission has been created to determine the legal basis for the activities of plastic surgeons.
