
On November 4, the day of Ashura religious mourning, all streets adjacent to the mosques of the capital will be blocked for transport, reads the message of the Traffic Police of Baku.
The main mourning ceremonies are held in the central mosque in Taza Pir in Nardaran, Bibi –Eybat, and other Shiite mosques.
Funeral ceremonies begin in the morning and lasts until nightfall.
The Sunnis do not celebrate Ashura - the mourning on the occasion of the death in the year 680 of Hussein , the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad, and the son of Imam Ali. -16D-
