Opposition Appoints Protest Rally on April 6
Baku / 27.03.19 / Turan: The National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF) scheduled a rally for April 6 demanding the release of political prisoners, the fight against corruption and the solution of social problems. This was announced by the head of the NCDF, Jamil Hasanli.
According to him, the action is supposed to be held at the Mehsul stadium.on April 6 at 15.00.
The main requirements of the action will be the release of political prisoners, the return of funds withdrawn from the country, which were appropriated as a result of corruption and plundering of people's funds, the restoration of benefits for children, etc.
The NCDF, in accordance with the requirements of the Law on Freedom of Assembly, will send a notification of its intention to hold the rally to the Baku Executive Power.
After the rally on January 19, which became the most massive opposition rally in the last six years, the authorities refused to permit the actions of the NCDF, scheduled for January 26, February 23 and March 2. The opposition regarded it as a violation of freedom of assembly. -06D--
