Over nine months of 2022, 56 people died in Azerbaijan in natural and man-made accidents
Baku/03.11.22/Turan: Over nine months of this year, 14,544 incidents of natural and man-made origin were registered in Azerbaijan. Compared to the same period last year, this is 1,313 incidents, or by 10% more, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan reported. As a result of natural and man-made accidents, 56 people died, another 262 were injured.
These figures are 65 and 66 percent higher than the same statistics for the nine months of 2021, respectively. In January-September 2022, 1713 fires were recorded, in which 42 people died, another 178 were injured.
The number of deaths in fires exceeded the figures for 9 months of 2021 by 18 or 75 percent, and the number of victims - 74, or 71 percent. During the reported period, 47 explosions occurred in Azerbaijan, as a result of which 14 people were killed and another 84 were injured. ---05В06---
