Over the past five years, 1,211 people have been returned to Azerbaijan by way of readmission
Baku/18.07.19/Turan: Since the beginning of 2019, 239 people have been returned to Azerbaijan by way .of readmission. In total, over the past five years, from September 2014 to the present, 1,211 people have been subjected to readmission.
These data were presented today by the head of the State Migration Service, Vusal Huseynov, at a press conference on the results of the first half of the year.
The redirection was mainly carried out from Europe.
Those who applied for residence abroad but were refused were returned.
Regarding the fight against illegal migration in Azerbaijan, Huseynov said that last year 899 people were placed in detention centers for illegal migrants.
Since the beginning of the year, the number of illegal migrants placed in such points amounted to 627 people.
They are mainly citizens of India, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Pakistan and other countries.
In 2019, 75 people were granted the Azerbaijani citizenship.
The permit for permanent residence in Azerbaijan was received by 1 694 people, including 347 citizens of Georgia, 225 from Russia, 95 from Turkey, 43 from Ukraine and Iran. -03D-

In 2017, the Sumgayit City Court ruled to evict the Aliyev family—refugees from Gubadli (Akper, Sarvinaz, Ramil, and two other family members)—from an illegally occupied apartment in the 12th microdistrict, Building 7A, Apartment 35.
