Owner of Miracle Stove Arrested

Baku / 26.07.17 / Turan: The founder of LLC Chudo Pechka (Miracle Stove) and LLC ChP Agro Chingiz Jalilov has been arrested.

In the General Directorate for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General, an investigation was carried out into the owner of Chudo Pechka LLC and ChP Agro LLC Chingiz Jalilov in connection with the appropriation of large amounts of credit funds received by him from banks on the names of various legal entities and individuals. This is stated in the message of the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office, distributed on Wednesday.

During the investigation, it was found that Chingiz Asim Oglu Jalilov, having entered into a criminal conspiracy with the Chairman of the Board of LLC Bank Standard, Salim Eldarovich Kriman, received a loan in the amount of 21 million 874 thousand manat from this bank, including from local and foreign investors, as well as with deposits.

This loan was received by Jalilov without the permission of the bank"s Supervisory Board on the security of real estate, the value of which was artificially inflated. The credits were issued on the names of the relatives of the owner of Miracle Stove, as well as various employees of his company. The loans were issued allegedly for the construction of cottages, the purchase of land, etc.

Then, on the basis of loan agreements, Chingiz Jalilov, having created the appearance that he cannot return the money to the bank, had the debt restructured several times by changing the terms of the loan agreement. This way, Salim Kriman and he appropriated 13 million 962 thousand manat, dividing the money between themselves.

Jalilov is charged under art. 179.3.2 (misappropriation or embezzlement in a large amount) and 308.2 (abuse of office) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan. By a court decision, a measure of restraint in the form of arrest has been applied against him.

Operative-investigative measures to establish other guilty persons, as well as to ensure compensation for the damage caused, continue. -0-
