Baku/01.11.21/Turan: The amount of the state fee for issuance or replacement of civil (foreign) passports has gone up.

This was noted in the proposed amendment to the Law "On State Duty" submitted for discussion at a meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship on November 1.

According to the draft, duties on general civil passports will go up from 10 to 15 manats for children under the age of 1 year; from 20 to 25 manats for children aged 1 to 3 years; from 30 to 35 manats for children aged 3 to 18 years; for citizens over the age of 18 from 40 to 60 manats.

When issuing or replacing general civil passports within five working days from 20 to 25 manats for children under 1 year; from 40 to 55 manats for children from 1 to 3 years; from 60 to 75 manats for children from 3 to 18 years; from 80 to 120 manats for citizens over the age of 18.

When issuing or replacing civil passports within one working day from 40 to 55 manats for children under 1 year; from 80 to 115 manats for children from 1 to 3 years; from 120 to 155 manats for children from 3 to 18 years; from 160 to 210 manats for citizens over the age of 18.

At the same time, the fees are increased for the re-issuance of general civil passports to citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan providing them the right to travel abroad due to their loss or damage.

In case of re-issuance of civil passports due to their loss or damage within ten working days, the duty increases from 20 to 25 manats for children under 1 year; from 30 to 40 manats for children from 1 to 3 years; from 40 to 55 manats for children from 3 to 18 years; from 50 to 75 manats for citizens over the age of 18.

In case of repeated issuance of civil passports due to their loss or damage within five working days, the state duty rises from 30 to 40 manats for children under 1 year; from 50 to 70 manats for children from 1 to 3 years; from 70 to 100 manats for children from 3 to 18 years; from 90 to 135 manats for citizens over 18 years.

In case of re-issuance of civil passports due to their loss or damage within one working day, the duty rises from 50 to 65 manats for children under the age of one year; from 90 to 125 manats for children aged 1 to 3 years; from 130 to 165 manats for children aged 3 to 18 years; from 170 to 220 manats for children aged over 18 years.

According to the draft, the fees for the re-issuance to foreigners and stateless persons of a temporary or permanent residence permit in the Republic of Azerbaijan and a decision to extend the period of temporary stay will be increased from 10 to 20 manats; for the issuance of an identity card to a stateless person permanently residing in the Republic of Azerbaijan upon reaching the age of 16 for use within the Republic of Azerbaijan - from 6 to 10 manats;  the fees for the issuance to foreigners and stateless persons of invitation documents to the Republic of Azerbaijan rises from 6 to 10 manats; for issuing a "refugee certificate" or a "Travel document" to persons who have received refugee status in the Republic of Azerbaijan - from 5 to 10 manats.

The fees collected from applications for admission to or withdrawal from the citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan will also be increased. According to the draft, in order to accept the citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan or withdraw from it, the state duty will  be raised twice - from 110 to 200 manats.—0—
