PFPA Activist Arrested in Sabirabad
Yesterday the Sabirabad police detained a local youth activist of the Popular Front Party (PFPQA) Raeel Rustamov.
On the same day the court sentenced him to 20 days of administrative arrest on charges of not subordinating police.
Rustamov is the son of the PFPA Supreme Majlis member Sahib Rustamli.
According to the Deputy Chairman of PFPA Gozal Bayramli, on February 16 Rustamli himself was also called by the police and demanded to stop his opposition activities on Facebook.
Yesterday the cars of both activists were detained and sent to the "penalty box".
"This is wickedness, injustice and violence," Bayramli said.
The duty officer of the Sabirabad Police confirmed the information about the arrest of Rustamov, without explaining the reasons. -03B-
