Poisoning of cotton growers in Beylagan
Baku/23.06.22/Turan: 15 cotton growers in Beylagan region of the country were hospitalized in a local hospital with symptoms of poisoning. The information about this has appeared in the social networks.
Conditions of the hospitalized people are stable, TƏBİB (Territorial Medical Units Management Association) told Turan.
"The aforementioned persons are under inpatient observation. They will be discharged within a day to receive outpatient treatment," the agency said.
In turn, the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office told Turan that the Beylagan region prosecutor's office has launched an investigation on the fact.
Recall that in 2018 there was a series of mass poisonings of cotton growers in the cotton fields of the country because of the pesticides they used. Then there were three cases of mass poisonings of about 300 people in several areas of the country.
The investigation revealed violations of safety rules for pesticide use and work practices. Four employees of various cotton firms were arrested. -06В-
