Baku/22.02.21/Turan: The leadership of the jail N1 officially recorded the hunger strike of Polad Aslanov, said his wife Gyulmira Aslanova, who was received by the head of the jail today.
“The head of the jail, Emin Hasanov, said that they regularly ask Polad to end the hunger strike, because it negatively affects his health. However, Polad disagrees. Representatives of the Red Cross visited Polad on Friday. Today he was examined by a doctor from the Medical Institution of the Penitentiary Service. The doctor told me that Polad must definitely stop the hunger strike, so he can fall into a coma at any moment, because the body's glucose decreases and it weakens,” said G. Aslanova.

On January 29, municipal elections were held in Azerbaijan, with over 16,000 candidates participating across 118 constituencies.
