Prosecutor�s Office Investigates Explosion in Metal Processing Plant in Lokbatan
Baku / 21.11.17 / Turan: The explosion, which caused the death of a worker yesterday, occurred in the area of a factory selling and processing metal, LLC Elite Yatyrym, in the Lokbatan settlement of the Garadagh district, the Baku Prosecutor's Office said.
During the investigation it was established that on November 20 Bahman Heydar Oglu Mammadov born in 1964 brought scrap metal to the territory of the plant by truck. One of the metal objects exploded in his hand. As a result, Mammadov died at the scene.
The Garadagh District Prosecutor"s Office instituted criminal proceedings under articles 162.2 (violation of the rules of labor protection, which resulted in the death of a person due to imprudence) and 224 (violation of rules for recording, storing, transporting and using explosive and flammable substances and pyrotechnic products).
Specialists of the Ministry of Emergency and the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) carried out complex inspections on the territory of the plant to search for explosives, ammunition and their parts. The operational and investigative measures are continuing. -05d06-
