Prosecutor�s Office Questions Ogtay Gulaliyev
Baku / 20.06.17 / Turan: A member of the coordinating center of the National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF), human rights activist Ogtay Gulaliyev was interrogated at the Investigatory Directorate for Serious Crimes of the Azerbaijani Prosecutor General's Office for about three hours.
After quitting the interrogation, the human rights activist informed Turan he had been interrogated on the case of the deputy chairman of the Popular Front Party Gezal Bayramli, who was arrested on charges of smuggling in late May.
"But the investigation was not content with only this. I was also asked questions beyond Bayramli"s criminal case," Gulaliyev said. The investigation was also interested in the activities of the NCDF and the human rights work of Gulaliyev.
He was caused to sign a commitment not to disclose the secrets of the investigation and therefore he could not give detailed comments. -06D-
