Protest of Laid-off Subway Workers
Baku / 11.12.17Turan: A group of employees of Baku Subway CJSC, dismissed from work, conduct a protest in front of the Subway office at the Elmler Akademiyasi subway station.
According to the order of Zaur Huseynov, chairman of the CJSC, about 500 employees of the repair and construction department were sacked due to lack of finance. According to the protesters, the Subway management did not take into account the marital status of the workers, or their professionalism, and just showed its own provincialism. The workers demand restoring their violated rights and intend to seek the truth in other instances.
