Report on the death of the tanker Mammad Amin Rasulzadeh exaggerated
Baku/08.14.19/Turan: At 22:25 in the port of Istanbul, the tanker "Mammad Amin Rasulzadeh" belonging to the "Palmali" Group crashed the ship "Doric Warrior", flying the flag of Liberia.
There were 14 crew members on the "Mammad Amin Rasulzadeh" who were not injured, but the tanker itself was damaged, the Palmali press service said.
Three rescue vessels were brought to the scene, the causes of the accident are being investigated.
The tanker was launched recently and set sail on August 6. The head of "Palmali" Mubariz Mansimov then said that the ship was named after one of the founders of the Azerbaijan People"s Republic, Mamedemin Rasulzade, and aims to promote Azerbaijan in the world.
Mubariz Mansimov founded the ship business in Russia in the 1990s. His company "Palmali" has become a serious player in the international market for the transportation of oil and petroleum products.
He moved to Turkey, where he expanded his business.
"Palmali" also collaborated with SOCAR, however, Mansimov was not allowed to expand his business in Azerbaijan. In particular, he was not given a license to create a bank, and was not allowed to create a media structure. In recent years, Mansimov has had a conflict with SOCAR.
In social networks Mansimov increasingly criticizes the facts of violation of human rights in Azerbaijan and makes curtsies towards the opposition.
At the same time, the pro-government media of Azerbaijan methodically discredit Mansimov, spreading unpleasant rumors about him. -21B-
