Baku / 24.09.20 / Turan: Reporter Anar Abdullayev, detained today at a protest in front of the Ministry of Education, was released after a fine of 50 manats was imposed. The police accused him of petty hooliganism (Art. 510 of the Code of Administrative Violations (petty hooliganism).
According to Abdullayev, the police accused him of using obscene language.
In fact, this was not the case. I was detained when I was filming the teacher's solo picket. A young man named Tural Garayev tried to start a fight with me, after which the police took me away. Now I am free, but I will appeal against the decision on the fine,” Abdullayev said. -06-

Baku / 24.09.20 / Turan: Reporter Anar Abdullayev was detained today in front of the Ministry of Education while covering the protest action of a teacher from Siyazan Jeyran Rahbari.
According to witnesses from the scene, during filming Abdullayev was attacked.
“We were filming, and at that moment the police demanded our service certificates. Suddenly, Tural Garayev appeared, who, having told Anar: “You work for the Freemasons,” began waving his arms and insulting him. Police officers detained both of them and took them to the 18th police station of the Narimanov district. They have already been there for an hour,” said journalist Ulviya Ali.
Tural Garayev is known for attacking the minor daughter of opposition politician Fuad Gahramanli on April 17, 2019. After a complaint by the teen's mother, Garayev was arrested for 15 days on charges of petty hooliganism. —06D-
