Restoration of broadcasting ANS is not discussed - Prosecutor General's Office
Baku /06.05.19/Turan: The criminal case against the officials of the Independent Broadcasting and Media Company ANS LLC was closed not on justifiable grounds, but due to a change in circumstances, reported the press service of the Prosecutor General"s Office of Azerbaijan in connection with the statements of ANS President Vahid Mustafayev about the closure of the case on justifiable grounds.
The Prosecutor General"s Office also recalls that the decision of the Baku Court of Appeal of July 29, 2016 on the termination of ANS activities and the cancellation of its broadcasting license remains in force. The recovery of ANS activity is not a subject of discussion, the Prosecutor General"s Office emphasizes.
ANS broadcasting was discontinued after the event was covered on July 15, 2016 in Turkey, when an attempt of a military coup was made, and the ANS announced an interview with the preacher Fethullah Gulen living in the US, whom Ankara accused of plotting and terrorism. -06D-
