Sentence on Fouad Ahmedli Appealed
Baku / 04.07.17 / Turan: The verdict on the activist of the Popular Front Party Fouad Ahmedli has been appealed. Turan was informed about this by the lawyer Asabali Mustafayev.
The defense asks the court to acquit the activist, who is sentenced to 4 years in prison.
According to procedural norms, the appeal is submitted to the court of first instance, which, within 10 days, sends it for comments or objections. From there, the complaint, together with the recall of the prosecutor's office, goes to the court of appeal.
Recall that Ahmedli was arrested in August 2016. He is accused of the fact that, being an operator of the mobile Nar network, he spread personal data of the users.
However, during the trial, these accusations were not confirmed and the persons recognized by the investigation as "victims" did not make any claims to the defendant.
One of the "victims," Mohammed Guliyev is wanted on charges of fraud, and the testimony of such a person is not credible, said the lawyer Asabali Mustafayev. -06B--
