Sharp increase in COVID-19 infection in Azerbaijan
Baku/10.08.21/Turan: In Azerbaijan, over the past day, 1,736 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected, 435 people recovered, and 12 died, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers said on August 10.
The total number of infected people since the beginning of the pandemic has reached 354,662, of which 335,771 have recovered, 5,084 have died, and treatment of 13,807 active patients continues.
Over the past 24 hours, 10,081 coronavirus tests have been carried out.
A day earlier, 1101 cases of infection were recorded in Azerbaijan.
Also, 59288 people were vaccinated per day, including 39352 with the first dose, 19936 with the second dose.
The total number of vaccinated persons was 5 478 042. At the same time, 3,200,107 people were vaccinated with the first dose, and 2,277,935 - with both doses. –06D-
