Siberian anticyclone brings cold to Azerbaijan
Baku/09.12.22/Turan: On Saturday, December 10 in Baku and Absheron overcast with precipitation, wind southeast. Temperature will be +3 +5 at night and +6-8 during the day.
Predominantly no precipitation, some eastern parts of the country will be rainy, wind is eastern.
Air temperature in the lowlands will be +2+6 at night and +6+10 during the day. In the mountains, it will be -5 to -10 at night and 0 to -5 during the day.
Head of the National Hydrometeorological Service of the Ministry of Ecology Umaira Taghiyeva in her commentary on the website of the Ministry reported on the reasons of cold weather in the country in recent days. According to her, it was a Siberian anticyclone that brough cold to Azerbaijan.
In the first decade of December the air temperatures in Azerbaijan were below the norm. Cold Siberian anticyclone also covered Central Russia and South Caucasus and caused the temperature drop.
The coldest day in Baku and Absheron peninsula was December 5 when air temperature was +2 Celsius. Thermometer mercury dropped to 17 degrees below zero in Shahdag region.
Precipitation exceeded the monthly norm in some areas during 8 days of December, Tagiyeva said. -06В-

The air temperature at night will be +7 to +10°C, and during the day, +11 to +13°C. The humidity will be 80-90% at night and 70-80% during the day. Rain with thunderstorms will also affect other parts of the country. Snow is expected in mountainous areas. There will be fog in places, with westerly winds.
