Sixty judges removed from their posts over the past three years.
Baku/23.04.22/Turan: Disciplinary proceedings have been instituted against 70 judges in Azerbaijan over the last three years and 60 of them have been removed from the judiciary.
This was announced at the meeting of the Judicial-Legal Council held the day before.
During the assessment of judges' activity five of them were disbarred due to improper work.
Note that warnings were issued to 130 judges.
The session also prematurely terminated the powers of four judges, whose work was found to be unsatisfactory from a professional point of view.
Four judges of appeal courts and three judges of Baku Court of Grave Crimes were brought to disciplinary responsibility for violation of legal requirements.
Disciplinary proceedings were also instituted against twelve judges of courts of first instance and courts of appeal for creating conditions for corruption offences, red tape and other serious violations of the law.-05D06-
