Snow in Mountainous Regions of Azerbaijan
Baku / 04.20.19 / Turan: The sharp cooling on the territory of Azerbaijan in the last 24 hours is accompanied by snowfall in the mountainous regions.
According to weather forecasters, snow depth in the Lerik region (south of the country) reaches 15-20 cm. The snowfall has caused the cessation of power supply of a number of highland villages. According to the local authorities, the snowfall has caused serious damage to orchards.
Today it has snowed in the mountains of the Greater and Lesser Caucasus - Ismailly, Gabala, Dashkesan, and Gadabey. Snow has also fallen in the Guba region and damage has been caused to the famous orchards, which have already flourished.
According to weather forecasters, similar weather will continue in the coming days. The masses of cold air penetrated into the territory of the South Caucasus from the north. Sharp cooling and precipitation are also observed in the North Caucasus. -02D-

In a bid to modernize and regulate the taxi industry in Baku, mobile patrols of the state traffic police have launched a series of raids aimed at ensuring that taxi drivers comply with newly established requirements.
