SOCAR Evacuates Five Hundred Oil Workers from Offshore Platforms
Baku / 21.09.19 / Turan: Due to the storm warning, the state-owned oil company SOCAR evacuated a total of about 500 oil workers from offshore stationary platforms.
SOCAR maximized security measures due to a sharp deterioration in weather conditions and a gale, which is expected to last until September 22, the company said on Saturday.
Those who stayed in connection with the production process are instructed to minimize outdoor work. In addition, shifts have been organized.
In particular, ships, including the fire department of the Ministry of Emergencies, are on duty at all oil and gas fields in the Caspian Sea.
The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources previously reported that the northwest wind on Absheron and the sea will increase to 20 meters per second. - 06D--
