State Antimonopoly Service sent materials to Prosecutor's Office for 23 construction companies
Baku/10.11.23/Turan: The State Antimonopoly Service for Supervision of Consumer Market under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan appealed to the Prosecutor General's Office regarding 23 companies engaged in the construction of apartment buildings.
The reason for initiating an investigation against construction companies was the complaints of their customers about demands to pay for installation of utility meters.
The message of the Antimonopoly Service emphasized that the supply and installation of meters for the use of water, electricity and gas should be carried out at the expense of the producers of these services.
Since the actions of officials who charged money from apartment buyers for installing meters revealed signs of fraud, abuse of official position and deception of consumers, materials were sent to the Prosecutor General's Office to give a legal assessment of these actions in respect of 15 housing cooperatives and 8 limited liability companies. –06B-
